Privacy policy for cookies

Our website uses cookies. These are small text files that make it possible to store specific information related to the user on the user’s terminal device while the user is using the website. Cookies make it possible, in particular, to determine the frequency of use and number of users of the pages, to analyze behavior patterns of page use, but also to make our offer more customer-friendly. Cookies remain stored beyond the end of a browser session and can be retrieved when you visit the site again. If you do not wish this to happen, you should set your Internet browser to refuse to accept cookies.

Privacy policy for Google Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. To deactivate Google Analytiscs, Google provides a browser plug-in at http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de. Google Analytics uses cookies. These are small text files that make it possible to store specific information related to the user on the user’s terminal device. These enable an analysis of the use of our website offer by Google. The information collected by the cookie about the use of our pages (including your IP address) is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. We point out that on this website Google Analytics has been extended by the code “gat._anonymizeIp();” to ensure anonymized collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking). If anonymization is active, Google truncates IP addresses within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, which is why no conclusions can be drawn about your identity. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google complies with the data protection provisions of the “Privacy Shield” agreement and is registered with the “Privacy Shield” program of the U.S. Department of Commerce and uses the information collected to evaluate the use of our websites, to compile reports for us in this regard and to provide other related services to us. Mailchimp

Newsletter content

We send newsletters, e-mails and other electronic notifications with promotional information (hereinafter “newsletter”) only with the consent of the recipients or a legal permission. If the contents of the Newsletter are specifically described in the context of a registration, they are decisive for the consent of the users. In addition, our newsletters contain information about Laura Loves Yoga and its programs and events, further programs and events relevant to our target groups.

Double-Opt-In and Logging

Registration for our newsletter takes place in a so-called double opt-in process. This means that after registration you will receive an e-mail in which you are asked to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary so that no one can register with other e-mail addresses.

The registrations for the newsletter are logged in order to be able to prove the registration process according to the legal requirements. This includes the storage of the registration and confirmation time, as well as the IP address. Likewise, changes to your data stored with MailChimp are logged.

Use of the dispatch service provider “MailChimp”.

The newsletter is sent using “MailChimp”, a newsletter sending platform of the US provider Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE #5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA.

The email addresses of our newsletter recipients, as well as their other data described in the context of this notice, are stored on MailChimp’s servers in the USA. MailChimp uses this information to send and evaluate the newsletter on our behalf. Furthermore, according to its own information, MailChimp may use this data to optimize or improve its own services, e.g. to technically optimize the dispatch and display of the newsletters or for economic purposes to determine from which countries the recipients come. However, MailChimp does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to address them itself or to pass them on to third parties.

We trust in the reliability and IT and data security of MailChimp. We have concluded a “Data Processing Agreement” with MailChimp on data processing based on the EU standard contractual clauses, so that Mailchimp thereby undertakes to comply with the EU data protection requirements. This is a contract in which MailChimp undertakes to protect the data of our users, to process it on our behalf in accordance with its data protection provisions and, in particular, not to pass it on to third parties. You can view MailChimp’s privacy policy here.

Registration data

To register for the newsletter, please enter your e-mail address and your name. This information is only used to personalize the newsletter.

Statistical collection and analyses

The newsletters contain a so-called “web-beacon”, i.e. a pixel-sized file that is retrieved from MailChimp’s server when the newsletter is opened. As part of this retrieval, technical information, such as information about the browser and your system, as well as your IP address and time of retrieval are initially collected. This information is used for the technical improvement of the services based on the technical data or the target groups and their reading behavior based on their retrieval locations (which can be determined with the help of the IP address) or the access times.

The statistical surveys also include the determination of whether the newsletters are opened, when they are opened and which links are clicked. For technical reasons, this information can be assigned to individual newsletter recipients. However, it is neither our endeavor nor that of MailChimp to observe individual users. The evaluations serve us much more to recognize the reading habits of our users and to adapt our content to them or to send different content according to the interests of our users.

Online call and data management

There are cases where we direct newsletter recipients to MailChimp’s websites. For example, our newsletters contain a link that newsletter recipients can use to retrieve the newsletters online (e.g., in case of display problems in the email program). Furthermore, newsletter recipients can subsequently correct their data, such as the e-mail address. Likewise, the privacy policy of MailChimp is only available on their site.

In this context, we pointed out that cookies are used on the websites of MailChimp and thus personal data is processed by MailChimp, their partners and service providers used (e.g. Google Analytics). We have no influence on this data collection. You can find more information in the privacy policy of MailChimp. We also draw your attention to the options for objecting to the collection of data for advertising purposes on the websites http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ and http://www.youronlinechoices.com/ (for the European region).

Cancellation / Revocation

You can cancel the receipt of our newsletter at any time, i.e. revoke your consents. With this, your consents to its dispatch via MailChimp and the statistical analyses expire at the same time. A separate revocation of the dispatch via MailChimp or the statistical analysis is unfortunately not possible. You will find a link to cancel the newsletter at the end of each newsletter.

Legal basis Data Protection Regulation

In accordance with the requirements of the Basic Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO) applicable as of May 25, 2018, we inform you that the consent to the sending of email addresses is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a, 7 DSGVO and § 7 para. 2 No. 3, or para. 3 UWG. The use of the dispatch service provider MailChimp, implementation of statistical surveys and analyses as well as logging of the registration process, are carried out on the basis of our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. Our interest is directed towards the use of a user-friendly as well as secure newsletter system that serves our business interests as well as meets the expectations of the users.

We would also like to point out that you can object to the future processing of your personal data in accordance with the legal requirements pursuant to Art. 21 DSGVO at any time. The objection can be made in particular against the processing for purposes of direct advertising.

If you do not wish this, you have the option to revoke your consent at any time. You can reach us for this purpose at: hello@the-eco-experience.com

As is known at larger events, it is also customary at our events to have a photographer on site who takes photos for commemorative and documentation purposes, on which, among other things, you as a guest are visible during your stay.
These photos serve primarily a documentary purpose, to give other potential guests a small insight into our events.
We are not aiming at advertising with you, but you are only the accessory for a comprehensive overall impression of the respective event.
We would be very grateful if you would allow us to publish these photos, on which you may be seen, and in rare cases also recognizable, primarily on our following social media pages. We specifically point this out before the start of each event. If this is not desired, we ask you to inform us at the beginning of the event. If you see pictures of yourself afterwards and do not wish this to be published, please contact us at: contact@laura-latka.com
